Sonoma workshop

These are just a few pictures from the hundreds I took when I attended a photography workshop earlier this year. I have to say, for the most part, I did not miss my kids while away from them for a little over 48 hours. I was learning new things, making friends and enjoying not being mommy for a few days. But..when I saw this baby with her mom, my heart ached to be holding Ari. The connection between mom and baby, especially at that age, is just such a beautiful thing.

This little girl was such a trooper. She had 10 cameras pointed at her and did not seem to mind at all, she was the perfect little subject.

I also had the opportunity to photograph a very beautiful family. In all the photos I got of Laura and her son, I could really feel the love she had for him. The first picture shows such a calmness and comfort in her role as a mom.

I couldn’t do a post about the workshop without including a picture or two of Me Ra and Brian. What a gift these two people are. It is because of them, that I am finally taking the leap and starting to think of myself as a photographer
