Becky and family..

This post has taken me forever to do, as these photos are really special to me and I was not very good at narrowing down which ones to share. Becky is a mom at my sons school, who I am so happy to have connected with last year. Since Becky is also a photographer, I was a bit nervous going into this shoot. I knew that she could great great shots of her kids and husband and I really wanted to be able to capture the interaction between them all for her. On the plus side, since she is a photographer, she really knew how to dress the family. I could easily title this post “what to wear”. The bright colors that she picked were perfect.

Becky’s son Evan, is one of the boys I ran in honor of when I ran my team in training half marathon last fall. Evan was diagnosed with leukemia last year and through this shoot, I wanted to be able to capture the love this family shares and what clearly helped them get through a very tough year. As you will see from this small sampling of photos, that was easy…anyone could walk into their house and see the connection they all share. I am happy to say that Evan is in remission and is doing great.

I could go on and on about everything that I love about each of these photos and could easily share twice as many but instead I will just leave you with the images which I think speak for themselves.

Cousin Izzy

You would think that I would have a few more pictures of this cutie, considering she is my only niece. I had dreams of doing photo session of Isabella a little more often, but we could just never get it to work. We finally scheduled something last month and I wanted to share a few of my favorites. Nine months is a great age to photograph babies, since they can’t get away yet! I look forward to documenting little Izzy as she grows up.

I got lots of pictures of my sister with Izzy, but this one is definitely my favorite.

And as a special surprise to my sister, she has not seen the following photos yet. They came down to visit this weekend, and I grabbed a few quick shots. I can see so many changes in such a short time.
