Project 52 – food – around the web

I’m so bummed I missed last week, it should have been an easy one for me with the theme “I heart faces”, but I was sick last week and then went out of town and just never got to it. After being up with a sick kiddo last  night, I wasn’t sure I was going to get this one done, but then figured out the perfect photo to do.
I am not a cook. I can make some pasta and a few easy casseroles, but that is pretty much the extent of my cooking skills. Luckily, my husband LOVES to cook, so we eat more than pasta in this house. Even though I do not like to cook, I can’t seem to stop buying cookbooks and cooking magazines. The pictures on the covers with words like fast, easy and healthy always seem to pull me in. I even go so far as to folding down and ripping out pages. It is when I say I am going to cook one of the recipes and then see more then 5 ingredients or a technique that I have no idea how to do, that I give up. Maybe someday my inner chef will come out.

Check out Angie Papalas, Glenview Photographer to see what she came up with this week.

Crystal K - I’m still awaiting my inner cook’s arrival and have bought many of these mag’s myself. The panini press and slow cooker have been my savors from casseroles. Great shot Michelle, and love the story

Jobrina Hofleit - Haha, I love this Michelle! Love your interpretation on this theme. And if I could cook and get results like the images on these cooking magazines then I too may try to cook more often, but I’m not seeing that happen any time soon!!!! I’ll leave it to my hubby as well. ;-)
